Ajah opening Rite

AJAH opening Rite

The priest takes to sprinkling the boundries with the Cup filled with Holy Water. He recites “I tread this Path for Self, a reflection of the Divine.”

The Priest then takes the incense and carries the smoke to the boundries of the circle in a clockwise direction. He recites “I tread this Path for Spirit, that which unites all things.”

The Priest then empowers the sacred space. Recite it is as follows:

As Sacred Ajah(God) as my witness,

I shall realize my oneness with the eternal spirit.

I shall merge all opposites of duality.

So that I may be a teacher

and protector of the one people.

With true love for Ajah.

I swear this, my holy pledge.

I declare I Am.

“Our Circle is a place where hearts and minds can meet and share in the wonder and empowerment, and realization of Ajah. We are all Family. Our Love and spirit binds us together and our Circle keeps us and nurtures us. We are blessed. Blessed Be!”

Then Ajah is invoked.

Mighty Ajah, Guardian of the realms of the East. Destroyer, Your tongue is a sharp sword, cutting with the knowledge of the arcane. Your spirit flows as graceful as a swift in flight. Purify us with truth. Blessed Be.

“Oh Great Spirit , I raise
my pipe to you.
To your messengers the four winds, and
to Mother Earth who provides
for your children.
Give us the wisdom to teach our children
to love, to respect, and to be kind
to each other so that they may grow
with peace of mind
Let us learn to share all good things that
you provide for us on this Earth.”
-Chief Yellow Hawk

Mighty Ajah, Guardian of the realms of the South. Creator, your breath is a flame with the fires of inspiration and passion. Your spirit is searing and fervent. Purify us with Love. Blessed Be.
“Thank You For This DayThank You for this day on Earth
Ancient Mother who gave me birth
Healing Mother who keeps me strong
Crone Mother who brings each new dawn
Thank You for the gift of being
For blessing me with the wonders of seeing
For the sounds and feeling of laughter
and the wisdom learned through pain

Spirit Mother bless me, tomorrow with a day again”

– Goddess hymn

Mighty Ajah, Guardian of the realms of the West. Mother, your coils are the cleansing healing waves that nurture the soul. Your spirit lunges, leaps and splashes like a Talbot at play. Purify us with pulsing tides. Blessed Be.

“Mother Earth… my life support system…as a warrior… I must drink your blue water… live inside your red clay and eat your green skin. I pray… my feet will always kiss your face and my footsteps match your heartbeat. Carry my body through space and time… you are my connection to the Universe… and all that comes after. I am yours and you are mine…..om….”

– mother-earth prayer

Mighty Ajah, Guardian of the realms of the North. Preserver, your talons run like roots into the earth, giving you infinite strength. Your spirit is substantial, hard and pure like a clear crystal. Purify us with persistant wisdom. Blessed Be.

“Cultivating Four Immeasurable Attitudes
May all beings have happiness and its causes, (Love)
May all beings be freed from suffering and its causes; (Compassion)
May all beings constantly dwell in joy transcending sorrow; (Joy)
May all beings dwell in equal love for those both close and distant. (Equanimity)”

One says:

May all experience peace, freedom and happiness
Om Shanti.”

Then you offer smoke with the tribe, and or drink water in the form of the blood of Mother-Earth, often accompanied by offerings of food… first offered to God and eaten to feed the soul directly…

When we appreciate what we eat and think of all it took to get that food there, we grow in amazing ways, from such a simple act.

A Suggested Closing is to Meditate for a period of time either long or short. Then, facing East, bow and say:

May all experience peace, freedom and happiness
Om Shanti.”
